The industrial aqueduct conveys the water produced by the recycling plant towards the companies of the 1st Prato industrial Macrolotto both for fire-fighting and for production use.
Its length is approximately 15 kilometers. As regards the part relating to fire prevention, the hydrants located along the roads at regular distances and in the lots’ forecourts are visible, where the various PODs (points of delivery) which are currently being arranged and modernized are also located.
The industrial aqueduct was given under management to G.I.D.A. S.p.A. through rental of a business unit in 2015.
